Lewis & Raby is a manufacturer of cyclone vegetable destoners used in the food processing industry for the effective removal of stones and earth from vegetables such as carrots, potatoes and parsnips.
The destoner is filled with water from the bottom creating a cyclone of water within the large cone. Stones, earth and other waste material fall to the bottom of the cone while the vegetable produce floats to the top. Vegetables are extracted via a chute at the top of the cone.
Our destoners can be manufactured in a variety of steel grades including stainless steel or mild steel and engineered to the highest international standards ensuring that each destoner has a high separation efficiency.
The destoner pictured has a capacity output of 30 tonnes per hour (tph), but each destoner we make is built individually to our customer’s specific requirements.
