Lewis & Raby is a manufacturer of flow control needle holders used in the glass and ceramic industry as part of the machinery which controls the flow of melted glass or ceramic.
The needle holder is machined in stainless steel with a threaded end for the attachment of needles.
In addition to an insulation plate, the holder is manufactured with internal pipework for cooling purposes as the molten glass and ceramics can reach temperatures of up to 2300°C.
The needle holder is pressure tested to 300psi.
